Hydrotech has in place a qualified and skilled team of experienced personnel who are dedicated to ensuring the success of MPS.

Details of qualification and experience of the core employee team follow:


Mr Edward Chang
Design Project Engineer, Hydrotech Asia

Mr Chang is a practicing civil and structural engineer and has 15 years of experience in analysis, design, site investigation and providing solutions for issues arises during the implementation of contract works.

Mr Chang was a senior engineer of SMEC Asia Ltd. He is vice-manager and senior structural engineer at Wong & Cheng Consulting Engineers Ltd in China.  Mr Chang holds a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Sto. Tomas and presently taking his post Graduate Studies at the University of Hong Kong. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Institute of Steel Construction.

Mr Chang is responsible for appraisals of buildings and infrastructures which are affected by water ingress, submission of design proposals, technical specifications, and liaison with Research and Development division in Norway to provide feedback on the performance of operating MPS installations in the Asian region.


Professor Andy Fourie
Technical Consultant

Professor Fourie is a Professional Fellow with the Australian Centre for Geomechanics (ACG) at the University of Western Australia in Perth, Australia.

His previous appointments include Professor of Construction Materials at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, and Professor at the Rand Afrikaans University, South Africa.

The ACG provides independent research, consultancy and training services to the Australian mining industry, specialising in aspects of mining geomechanics. It was established 1992 and enjoys an international reputation for the quality of services provided.

Professor Fourie has worked in the field of environmental geomechanics and mine tailings for 25 years and published over 100 referred articles in these and related fields. He has consulted on projects in a number of countries including Australia, South Africa, Zimbabawe, Peru and Canada and is on the editorial board of four international journals in the field of geomechanical engineering. He has conducted research and development on the use of electrokinetics for the dewatering and stabilisation of soft clay and mine tailings, and has received several awards for his research and publications.
