Mr James McKenzie Mr James McKenzie is a Chartered Accountant with in excess of 25 years of professional and commercial experience and during his career has held positions of Group Managing Director, Finance Director and Company Secretary in several companies working within the private and listed sector. He has extensive experience in project and contract management within the construction development sector both from finance and operational positions. During the last 10 years he has actively concentrated on private company turnarounds and preparing ailing companies for growth and sale. He holds a BA in Accountancy and is a member of the Institute of Business Consultancy and also a member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals.
Mr Tony McKee Mr McKee studied Civil and Structural Engineering at Birmingham Polytechnic before developing a successful career in sales and marketing of solutions for concrete problems. From 1986 to 2003 he worked Fosroc, a leading supplier of repair systems for concrete structure, running offices in the UAE, China and Hong Kong. He was responsible for introducing a range of innovative methods for repairing and protecting concrete structures and these included the first developments of fluid micro concrete for repairs to concrete with high density/congested steel reinforcement and the introduction of high build sprayed mortars for jetties and other confined spaces. He introduced a range of protective coatings for concrete structures including anti-carbonation systems used on highway and petro-chemical facilities. He was also involved in the introduction of galvanic protective systems for refurbishment of concrete structures and assisted in the development and marketing of high build semi flexible mortars for external rendering. Over the past 5 years, Mr McKee has been involved in the introduction of Polyurea systems for waterproofing of water features and podium roofs as well as a range of silane paste impregnation products for the prevention of mould and algae growth on concrete surfaces. He has also undertaken consultative work on concrete repair systems for new construction and has given many presentations on concrete repair systems, most recently on the introduction of adhesive systems in compliance with EU standards. Tony currently manages the Hong Kong office and all Sales and Marketing activities in the Asia region and is responsible for devising and implementing strategies to maximise Hydrotech’s opportunities.
From 1969 to 1973 he worked as a structural engineer with the Australian Government in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea and Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia. He was engaged in the design of buildings, bridges and marine structures including design for earthquake loads in PNG and for extreme wind loads in the aftermath of Cyclone Tracey which devastated Darwin in 1973. From 1974 to 1981 he was a structural engineering director for two consulting engineering firms in Adelaide, carrying out design of a wide range of commercial, industrial and residential buildings in all types of materials. Other projects included highway bridges, marine structures and civil works for mining projects. In 1982 he became a director of Palmer & Turner, the oldest and most prestigious architectural firm in Hong Kong. For ten years he was responsible for all of the civil and geotechnical elements of P&T’s major building projects in Hong Kong, Macau and China. His civil division also undertook major projects for external clients, such as the design and construction of the roadworks for the Wanchai Reclamation, including 3 vehicular flyovers and 11 pedestrian footbridges, in this busy urban area with heavy traffic flows, limited working space, very congested underground services and a high water table. Following a buyout of P&T’s civil engineering division in 1992, Mr Arbon was director in charge of the structural division of Acer Consultants (Far East) Ltd until 1994. He was in charge of 60 staff undertaking the design of major projects such as the immersed tube cross-harbour road and railway tunnels for the Western Harbour Crossing and the Airport Express Railway. In 1994 he joined Australian based international consultant Snowy Mountains Engineering Corporation (SMEC) and established their Hong Kong office where he held the position of managing director until he joined Hydrotech in 2007. Projects included a pilot Pavement Maintenance Management System, GIS Database and Inventory and Condition Surveys for the complex Hong Kong highway network; detailed design of the steel superstructure of the 46 storey IFC Tower One in Central District and the North Lantau Refuse Transfer Station. He was also involved in numerous tunneling projects in Hong Kong including holding the position of Independent Checking Engineer for the temporary works for the HK$2.3 billion Eagles’ Nest Highway Tunnels, comprising twin 3-lane drill and blast tunnels of 17 metre width. Mr Arbon
will be responsible for overseeing the management,
design and implementation of all of Hydrotech’s
projects within the Asian region.
Mr Jiang Nan Mr Jiang has over 20 years’ experience working in an international project management role and providing leadership in corporate management for a variety of Chinese ministries and companies. His duties in multi-national companies have involved overall corporate operations in China, including business planning, marketing, proposals and tender document preparation, contract negotiation and implementation of successful projects, as well as ongoing liaison with Central and Provincial Government agencies, private clients and International Funding Institutions particularly World Bank, and ADB. Mr Jiang holds a Bachelor degree in International Studies from Shanghai University of China, a Masters degree in International Business Management from the University of Exeter, UK, and a Post Graduate Diploma of Civil and Business Law from the University of Political Science and Law of China.
Mr Edward Chang Mr Chang is a practicing civil and structural engineer and has 15 years of experience in analysis, design, site investigation and providing solutions for issues arises during the implementation of contract works. Mr Chang was a senior engineer of SMEC Asia Ltd. He is vice-manager and senior structural engineer at Wong & Cheng Consulting Engineers Ltd in China. Mr Chang holds a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Sto. Tomas and presently taking his post Graduate Studies at the University of Hong Kong. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Institute of Steel Construction. Mr Chang is responsible for appraisals of buildings and infrastructures which are affected by water ingress, submission of design proposals, technical specifications, and liaison with Research and Development division in Norway to provide feedback on the performance of operating MPS installations in the Asian region.
Ms Sank is Hong Kong born and bred and has over twenty years of senior administrative experience. She gained her qualifications in Professional Office Administration and Executive Secretarial support and has since gone on to support some of Asia’s senior business leaders. In the late 80’s Ms Sank worked as the Personal Assistant to the Managing Director of a leading accredited advertising agency in Hong Kong. It is here that she began to truly develop her passion and skill for administration as she was heavily involved in office management and personnel issues. In 1990 Ms Sank was appointed as Personal Assistant to the Chairman of a leading interbank money broking firm. During her time in this role, she learnt the complexities involved in running a back office and made substantial changes to procedures that enhanced the efficiency of the operation. When the Chairman retired in 1993, Ms Sank moved into the Office Manager role and assumed responsibility for all personnel and administration functions. In 1994 she was approached by a management recruitment agency which was looking for a perfect match Personal Assistant for a dynamic Executive Chairman who had assumed a large and high profile role in stock broking in Hong Kong. Ms Sank joined HSBC James Capel Asia and provided support to the Executive Chairman for the next 7 years. In 2001, Ms Sank and husband moved to New Zealand for a change of lifestyle and found themselves running a 64 acre private estate. Two years of the bush was enough for them and they moved to Auckland where she quickly found work as the Executive Assistant to the CEO of Gen-i, New Zealand’s largest and most preferred ICT provider. In 2008 Ms Sank and her husband returned to Hong Kong to raise their family and she joined Hydrotech Asia where she is currently responsible for all sales administration and office management. She works closely with the group’s Chairman and CEO. Mr Syversen
is responsible for the management of Hydrotech’s
R&D facility in Norway. He is also a Certified Project Manager PMPMA. Mr Holtan, as Group Installation Manager, is responsible for the supervision of MPS installations in accordance with the Company’s stringent quality and technical standards. Mr Holtan has
in excess of 30 years experience as a construction
project supervisor. For the past 12 years he
has been focussed on the design and installation
of electro-osmotic technology in Norway and
in the UK. His current primary role is to oversee
various installations in conjunction with the
MPS system licensees and, where applicable,
directly with the Company’s HK and UK
customers. Mr Utklev, an electro chemical engineer and inventor of the MPS system, is retained as a consultant to the Company in the field of electro-osmotic technology. He has
extensive experience in the management of projects
involving elctro-osmotic installations in Norway.
Mr Steve Morris Mr Morris is responsible for Sales at Hydrotech Europe Plc, building a UK, Ireland and Europe sales strategy to develop new business. In 1976 he started as an electronics engineer travelling worldwide with De La Rue Systems before moving to Volker Craig as Engineering Manager. From 1991 he joined RS Components as a Sales Engineer moving through the Sales force leaving 2000 as Key Account Manager. From 2000 to 2008 he worked for Bureau Veritas and held sales positions culminating in Regional Sales Manager and Deputy UK Sales Director managing a team of 14 field based sales personnel. This role included the management of the UK sales business with the Director, personal responsibility for Major Accounts and development of strategies and targets for the UK inspection division, reporting to Board level in a global corporate environment. Mr Morris started with Hydrotech in September 2008 and is based at the UK offices in Milton Keynes. With both a keen engineering background and extensive sales experience at all levels he provides the commercial and technical abilities to build and develop customer relationships and confidence in the services delivered by Hydrotech. |
